Peter Reid leads our team of geologists in identifying and developing new projects. Peter's team investigates potential geothermal sites in Australia and overseas then develops the early stages of each new project.

Peter is a geologist and a founder of Petratherm. He has 16 years geological exploration expertise, with the past five years focused on geothermal systems. His core specialisations are sequence stratigraphy, structural geology and exploration geophysics.
Peter was regional geologist working on the Flinders Ranges from 1992 with Primary Industries and Resources South Australia. He joined Minotaur Exploration in 1996 to search for gold and base metals. In 2000, this included being involved in the discovery and subsequent development of the Prominent Hill copper-gold deposit, and in 2002 the establishment of Mithril Resources, a nickel explorer. With Minotaur's support Peter went on to researching Australia's geothermal energy potential, working closely with researchers from the University of Adelaide. The result of this work led to the development of Petratherm's exploration models and exploration strategies.
In May 2004, Peter was appointed founding CEO of Petratherm Limited which subsequently successfully floated on the Australian Stock Exchange.
