Petratherm Petratherm Limited has made significant progress towards achieving its stated mission which is to; "Explore and develop, emission free, commercially sustainable geothermal energy projects" Approximately ninety percent of Australia’s electricity is generated from fossil fuels, the use of which contributes to one third of Australia’s total carbon dioxide emissions. Geothermal energy is free from greenhouse gas emissions and capable of providing constant power to supply base-load electricity. The Company will explore for hot rock geothermal energy, one of the few renewable energy sources, with the ultimate objective of providing energy for producing electricity.
